After collecting your Camper from the 365camperhire depot head towards Dorset. The drive takes approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.
When you reach Dorset, you might want to head out to the local food shops and collect your groceries, stocking up your fridge with everything you need for the holiday.
Dorset is often referred to as the Jurassic Coast. The drive along the Dorset coast is within one of the UK’s largest areas of outstanding natural beauty with extraordinary landscapes of ‘the Jurassic Coast.’
Must-see destinations in Dorset include Durdle Door, one of the most iconic landmarks in the UK. Durdle Door has great international geological importance as its natural limestone arch was formed when waves eroded the rock and created a hole.
Another must-see destination is Lulworth Cove, a wonderful walking and visitor centre. Time spent exploring the cave offers a relaxing and gentle experience of the special Jurassic Coast.
You can also visit Corfe Castle and spend time exploring the grounds taking in one of Dorset’s most photogenic panoramas.
For spectacular beach views, head to West Bay Beach and explore the stunning and dramatic cliffs. Follow the coastal hike along West Bay. The bay is a quiet beach, so why not take some time to sit with the quiet and enjoy a stroll on the beach, enjoying the peace and tranquillity it brings.
Take a short drive to the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, in west Dorset. Lyme Regis is often referred to locally as the ‘Pearl of Dorset.’ Explore the beautiful Monmouth Beach and Sandy Beach. You can also head to Lyme Regis Brewery and sample the local beer and cider.
Stop off at Chesil Beach, one of the world’s longest pebble barriers, running for 18 miles. Make sure to check out the highest cliff along the whole Southern English coastline known as the Golden Cap.

That’s good to know…
When exploring Dorset’s Golden Cap make sure to wear or pack comfortable trainers to change into after the beach.
Durdle Door has a steep climb, and therefore a moderate level of physical activity is needed. However, to experience the natural wonder of Lulworth Cove requires little physical activity so you can still enjoy a gentle and accessible outdoor experience.
