Driving and parking a motorhome for hire requires extra care. Consider the vehicle’s size—allow for longer braking distances, wider turns, and adjusted speed limits.
Parking is easy thanks to well-placed mirrors, but having a passenger guide you into position is always helpful. Be mindful of car park height barriers and always park in a safe, unobstructed area.
Do I Need a Special Driving License?
No. All of our vehicles are under 3,500 kgs, so you only need a standard Category B license to drive. However, European licenses have various maximum limits, so please check that you have a suitable license before booking. If your license does not meet the requirements, your hire will be refused and cancelled without a refund.
For Overseas Licenses: Even if you have a C category license in your own country, UK law only permits you to drive a vehicle up to 3,500 kgs on UK roads. Additionally, for insurance purposes, the driver must be between 25 and 75 years old and have held a full license for at least three years.
It is advisable to have your driving license with you at all times when driving a hire motorhome.
